The PADI Assistant Instructor Course is the second step on the ladder of diving professionals.
As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you will be qualified to teach certain courses such
as peak performance buoyancy and skin divers, conduct the discover scuba diver experience,
assist with training on all PADI diver courses and present the academic information
for the scuba diving training courses. You may also become an Emergency First Response
Instructor with a little extra training from a PADI Course Director who is also an
EFR instructor trainer.
Becoming a PADI Assistant Instructor can take up to 5 days, depending on the amount
of theory modules you complete before arriving and beginning the course. Much of
this courses, as with PADI Divemaster, is based on self learning with some instructor
led lectures and skills development.
