Divers at Konnos
Welcome to Konnos dive site, also known as the Cliffs, also known as Cyclops due to the Cyclops cave which is situated at the top of the cliffs and you have to walk past to get to the water at the dive site..
Konnos is the dive site we use to get some depth in Cyprus. We know that if you swim out and around the headland you can reach over 80 metres of depth, perfect for some of those technical divers.
However, most dives at this site are within the 18 to 40 metre range. As we enter the water, there is a sandy stretch which leads you to parachute rock, which you can jump off and when you reach the bottom you will find yourself at 18 metres.
Following the wall around will gradually take you deeper, or you can choose to start to ascend a little to the distant sandy cliffs around the side of the headland which start at about 14 metres. Again, keep your eyes peeled here for octopus, morays and groupers

Moped Wreck at Cyclops
Also, you may find the wreck of the moped. It is often elusive and difficult to find, but once in a while it pops back up again.
The sea grass at this far side often provides a home for parrot fish and box fish and flying gurnards.
While you are doing your safety stop, you may even get to meet our resident trigger fish, who lives at 6 metres on the sandy runway near the exit.
